Meet Our Event Co-Chairs
Brian Bouma-Quinn
This is Brian’s second year Co-Chairing Derby Day Soirée! In addition to Co-Chairing Derby, Brian is an Ele’s Place program helper on Tuesday evenings. When not busy volunteering at Ele’s Place he is a full-time dad and husband. Brian and his husband Martin have been together for 23 years and married for almost four years. They have a son, Thomas, who is 17 years old and a daughter Leah, who is 14 years old. The Bouma family live in Ann Arbor and own Bouma Group Realtors. Wait until you see Brian’s Derby outfit for this year’s Derby Day Soirée!
Julie Picknell
Julie Picknell has been a resident of Washtenaw county for over 25 years and a real estate agent at the Charles Reinhart Company the majority of her life. Raising four children in the Saline Area School district, she is very active in local fundraising, is proud to be a retired board member of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Founding Chair of the Annual Townie Street Party, an Ambassador for UMS (University of Michigan Musical Society) and presently the 2020 Co-Chair for Derby Day Soirée supporting Ele’s Place Ann Arbor.
